Biographical SketchCristian Rojo is a young artist originally from DeKalb, Illinois but currently resides in St. Charles, Illinois. Rojo is currently enrolled at Northern Illinois University and is pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Art as well as a Bachelors of Science in Fashion Merchandising.
Alongside his studies, Rojo has been able to take on many extracurricular roles at Northern Illinois University. From 2017 to 2019, Rojo was able to explore the creative world or journalism by working as a writer and later as the Visual editor for the Northern Star. From 2017 to 2021, Rojo was an active member of the Fashion Industries Organization and even became President during his last year with the group. During his time, he released a fashion magazine called ‘Designing for Tomorrow’ which gave a platform to growing student designers. Rojo also had the opportunity to produce 2 fashion shows and work on other fashion related projects on campus. In his professional life, Rojo has curated quite the professional portfolio working for retailers such as Famous Footwear, Express, and Talbots. More recently, Rojo made his debut within the world of luxury fashion working for British conglomerate Burberry but has since made the switch over to the Italian fashion house Gucci, where he currently works. Steeped by fashion since a young age, Rojo’s works often take inspiration from the world of fashion and are then coupled with inspiration from various American artists. Once graduated in 2022, Rojo hopes to expand his professional portfolio within the world of fashion and continue his work as an artist on the side. |
